Philadelphia's construction boom produced thousands of buildings that are now entering their first major weather cycles, and the pros who built them know that envelope performance comes down to the details that happen at transitions: foundation-to-wall, wall-to-roof, openings, penetrations, and vapor control.
The BIA Building Innovation Committee is bringing together architects, developers, GCs, and trade partners for a hands-on workshop focused on exactly how to get those details right — from the first rough opening to the final cladding pass. Real mock-ups. Field-ready sequencing tools. Best practices.
Building is a team sport. The team that owns every transition is the team that builds right from the start — and building right is your best protection against construction defect claims and the retrofit costs that make them so painful.
