Join the BIA and representatives from L&I, Premier Building Restoration, and Keast & Hood for an informative session on façade inspections as part of BIA's ongoing efforts to promote best practices.
Anyone owning, managing, or in charge of maintaining buildings should attend, along with other practitioners, design professionals, and contractors.
After the devastating building collapses last month, there is no better time to remind members that proper maintenance of your building is critical and that L&I requires periodic façade inspections of high-rise buildings (defined as more than 60 feet) to ensure public safety. The program will cover the intent and requirements of the code, what makes a quality inspection, repairs and maintenance, case studies, and submissions.
Thanks to member Premier Building Restoration for hosting the in-person lunch and learn at The Wheel Pump Inn, a historic inn built circa 1735 that Premier restored.
