Construction Employer Forum: Creating a Stronger Philadelphia Work Force
Trained and Certified Interns Available
BIA Member The Safety Group LTD., in partnership with the Public Health Management Corporation’s (PHMC) Work Force Institute, is hosting a brunch for builders/construction companies interested in learning about available OSHA-certified construction interns.
With support from a grant from PHMC, The Safety Group provided participants with 12 weeks of rigorous training in construction. The construction interns will all have 10 Hour Construction, 10 Hour General Industry, Scaffolding, Flagger, and Silica certificates.
In addition to training, the grant program offers the interns to builders/construction companies for 4 to 6 weeks free of charge. Insurance is covered through the grant program as well. After the internship is complete, employers may choose to hire participants of the program.
