It has been over a year since the City of Philadelphia’s new laws regulating excavation work and the protection of adjacent property came into effect, and members of the AEC and real estate development communities still have questions about what L&I specifically requires.
At this happy hour breakfast and seminar hosted by Pennoni, with the help of Philadelphia’s Chief Code Official, Betsy Baldwin, and a BIA excavation contractor, Henry Morris, PE will break down the requirements of the Excavation Site Permit at both the pre-construction and construction stages of the project. Developers, architects, engineers, and contractors looking for guidance on the excavation permit process should attend.
This seminar will summarize Philadelphia’s relevant codes and bulletins, as well as present a project example. Attendees will come away from this event with an understanding of the intricacies of the required excavation permit and excavation contractor license and what to watch out for on their next project!
