16th Annual Builders Conference
Delaware Riverfront Development: Getting it Right
For decades, Delaware riverfront development has vexed Philadelphia. Now, after years of planning efforts and proposals ? some realized, but many not ?new investment and opportunity are generating momentum, but also potential pitfalls.
Protecting the character of riverfront neighborhoods, safely converting formerly industrial land to residential and mixed use, incorporating recreational amenities, rebuilding, and paying for, necessary infrastructure, and managing traffic are among the many challenges, even as the long-awaited cover for I-95 moves closer to reality.
At its 16th annual Builders Conference, the Building Industry Association of Philadelphia will explore how we can get it right, ensuring a thriving waterfront that will best serve Philadelphia and Philadelphians for decades more to come.
